Susan Guest-McPhail
Making art is my passion with many facets. I work from abstraction to realism with a love of color and pattern.
Having been a Printmaker complements my painting, and forces me to think in simple shapes which I collage using special acid free tissue papers created in my studio to make them fade resistant.

My goal now is to focus on experimenting, enjoying the the excitement of the journey, and sharing my process with fellow artists.*
For many years I have been teaching mixed media and Plein Aire painting at the Rockport Art Association and North Shore Arts.

The 3 dimensional Monoprint "Estros" was featured in 1998 on the cover of "Arts Around Boston Magazine".
Also, a featured artist in " Painting Without a Press " by Nancy Marculewicz, a book on making monoprints using a Gelatin Plate.

My work has been shown in New York at the National Arts Club, the Salmagundi Club, and many museums and galleries
